Test Facilities
SonaPERT offers a variety of testing facilities to customers in the area of high voltage and electric power engineering as per IS/IEC standards. This service is provided in a cost effective and efficient manner with advanced instruments and test facilities. Customer satisfaction is the primary goal of the SonaPERT.

- Impulse Test: Our advanced impulse test systems are used for carrying out impulse voltage tests on HV apparatus like Power Transformers, Instrument Transformers, Switchgear Panels, Breakers, and HV Cables etc. The tests are conducted with lightning, full or chopped waves, and / or switching impulses as prescribed in the relevant international standards.
- Relay Test: Advanced protective relay testing facilities for all types of relays ranging from electromechanical types to numerical relays. Both on-site and in-house testing of relays and periodic maintenance of relays are performed as per customer requirement.
- Temperature Rise Test : Temperature rise tests of switchgear panels, transformers, circuit breakers, bushings, busbars etc. upto 5000 A
- High Voltage Power Frequency Withstand Test: This test is carried out for switchgear panels, transformers, disconnectors, Bushings, Circuit Breakers, Bus bars, Insulators etc. upto 100 kV.
- BDV test of oil: Breakdown Voltage Test for all types of insulating oils is carried out upto 60kV.
- CTI Test : Evaluation of Comparative Tracking Index of all types of solid insulating materials are performed
- Tracking Resistance Test : Evaluation of Tracking resistance of all types of insulating materials are performed
- Contact Resistance Test : Measurement of contact resistance of circuit breakers, switchgear panels etc.,
- Core loss Test : Evaluation of core loss , B-H Curve and peak flux density of iron cores
- CT Accuracy Test : Evaluation of Ratio Error & Phase Error of Current Transformers of secondary rating 50 mA -5A
- Cable Fault Test : Identification and location of Open Circuit & Short Circuit Fault in Cables
- Leakage current Test : Measurement of leakage current of surge arrestors and insulators
- Insulation Resistance Test : Measurement of insulation resistance of Relays, Cables, etc.,
- Humidity Test : Aging and Humidity testing of indoor circuit breaker insulators
